I have been busy past couple of days which explains the lack of pics but here we go again.As you can see from the picture the cable car takes some turnes also.At a time of taking the picture it was quite amusing to see the small dog fighting the ownerto cross the street:-)BTW I am still hanging from the side of the cable car while taking the picture.

The main reason that these cable cars exist is the hill you see in this picture.As you can see from left lower corner there is a center line between rails. Inside it runs a chainand the driver of the cable car controls the connection to the chain. It was a fun ride one hand on the post you see and the other holding the camera.

Famous prison island is situated in SF bay. In this picture it is in clouds so only gives a faint view but to be honest it was nothing special in closer view. I did not visit the island but we had a trip on a boat which went close to the island.

I heard from the news that the balloons are mostly bought by sponsors and private teams are very rare. This is indicated by the big company logos usually on the balloons.Yesterdays pictures colors were a little washed. With this picture I boosted colors for more pleasing look.

These kind of roads lead to Geiranger fjord as you see the side of the mountin is covered with snow in mid-july.Small streams of water join to the side of the road.

We are back from the Norway and it was a wonderful trip. The nature is truly beautiful there.Our main destination was Geiranger fjord where we stayed for a couple of days. West fjords were just added to the UNESCO World Heritage site list.This pictures was taken on a way there.

The bags are packed and we are leaving for the ferry towards Stockholm. From there a long drive to Norway.So the blog will not be updated for a whole week.

The source of water is this small oases which is getting it's water from under ground cave.As you can see from the reflection there are walls built around the cave. As far as I know these were built aound 1900.It is a really nice and calm place with only noise from the flowing water.
